Nigeria Dominates Wrestling at the 2nd Africa Military Games

Nigeria has emerged as a dominant force at the 2nd Africa Military Games in Abuja, achieving a remarkable success in wrestling. The Nigerian team secured 11 gold, 12 silver, and 7 bronze medals, bringing their total medal count to an impressive 30 across various sporting events.
The games, which kicked off on Monday, are gathering 1,625 athletes from 21 African nations competing in 20 sports. Nigeria not only excelled in wrestling but also claimed four gold medals in taekwondo, with standout performances from Mohammed Yusuf (men’s 54kg), Bisallah Rejoice (women’s 46kg), Ibeh Nancy (women’s 49kg), and Anam Glory (women’s 53kg).
In handball, Nigeria also triumphed, securing gold in both the men’s and women’s categories by defeating Ghana in the finals.
The competition runs until November 30, and Nigeria’s exemplary performance has set the tone for military sporting excellence across Africa.
