The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development via Minister Ahmed Dangiwa has pledged to support the Abuja Interior and Furniture Expo (AIFE) slated for December 6th to 8th.

The National Coordinator of AIFE Faisal Jafar Rafindadi disclosed this after a meeting with the minister and his team.

The Minister, an experienced architect, highlighted that the Expo aligns with the ministry’s goals and falls under its purview.

He expressed enthusiasm for the success of the project, offering both financial backing and strategic guidance to ensure its smooth execution.

One key outcome of the meeting was the Minister’s recommendation to reduce vendor participation from 1,000 to 400 to better manage space constraints at the event venue.

This advice, based on his architectural expertise, will help optimize the layout and enhance the overall experience for attendees and vendors alike.

A courtesy call with the State Minister and other ministry officials has been scheduled, further solidifying a collaborative approach moving forward.

Additionally, the project team is set to present their detailed plan to the Ministry next week, marking a significant milestone for the Expo.

On the part of Rafindadi, he expressed excitement about the developments, saying, “This is a tremendous opportunity for us, and we must capitalize on it. The Ministry’commitment ensures that we are on track for a successful event.”

The Abuja Interior and Furniture Expo, expected to attract major players in the interior design and furniture industry, promises to be a landmark event in the country.
