Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, commended Aliko Dangote for his foresights, stressing that he is Africa’s export to the world.

He reiterated the Senate’s happiness with the facility assuring the investors of government’s support in their drive to ensure Nigeria attains self-sufficiency in key sectors.

Akpabio called on other investors to emulate Dangote by establishing businesses in the country so as to provide jobs in the country.

He equally challenged other states across the country to emulate Lagos State by providing business friendly environment for investors.

Meanwhile, Dangote Sinotruck West Africa Limited, is a joint venture company with a total investment of $100 million. It boasts cutting-edge facilities and machinery, enabling it to achieve a production capacity of 15 -16 trucks per shift, or approximately 10,000 trucks annually.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the assembly plant, Hikmat Thapa, explained that the facility would be scaled up to 13,000 trucks annually with the commissioning of the CKD plant.

He affirmed that the majority of the fabrication and assembly lines were handled by trained Nigerians.
