Transport coy converts 200 petrol cars to electric, targets net-zero emissions

Enviable Transport Company has manufactured over 200 electric vehicles that are fueled electrical and subsequently used for taxi systems across the nation.

According to the company, they are trying to mitigate the effect of green house emission in Nigeria and make the environment greener.

Chidi Ekah, the Abuja branch manager of the company, said the introduction of the electric vehicles is to see how the company can help reduce the level of pollution that is being generated carbon gases.

In his words: “By introducing electric vehicles that will not emit carbon gases and the rest of them, we are ensuring that we are contributing to our social responsibility towards helping to reduce the level of pollution in the environment.”

An environmental expert, Jospeh Ibrahim, said,” We are polluting less, we are creating green jobs, we are also making sure that our environment is greener while we are developing.”

He, however, urged the government and private sector to support this initiative they have started in enviable transport company in trying to protect the environment and climate.

While Daniel Mantim, an E-mobility expert, he said government policies are the major determining factor. Hence, he advocates for the government to initiate policies that will encourage people to want to invest and be part of the E-mobility business.
