In a commendable effort to safeguard rural communities and the nation from the detrimental impacts of climate change, Titilope Ngozi Akosa, the Executive Director of Centre for 21 Century Issues, has undertaken a crucial mission to enhance awareness and education on the Net-zero project in rural areas.
During an enlightening one-day sensitization program held in Abuja over the weekend, Akosa eloquently explained the essence of the Net-zero concept.
This concept revolves around taking decisive actions to curb carbon emissions, which are a leading cause of climate change in communities.
Recognizing the paramount importance of effective communication, Akosa emphasized the necessity of conveying the Net-zero concept in a language that resonates with rural dwellers.

Mrs. Adesola Olatunde Effiwat, the Principal Scientist at the National Council of Climate Change (NCCC), highlighted the government’s active involvement in this commendable sensitization initiative.
