Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has taken a significant step towards addressing the water shortage crisis in the state.
Within his first 100 days in office, he successfully completed the construction of 332 boreholes across all 332 political wards. To ensure the functionality and sustainability of these boreholes, the Governor distributed 332 power generating sets for their operation.
The distribution of power generating sets marks the final phase of the mass water supply program initiated by the Governor. By powering the boreholes with generating sets, the government aims to provide a cost-effective and sustainable solution to the water shortage problem.
This method, according to Mr. Olaoye Abayomi, the Director of Water, Sanitation, and Environment, will ensure the durability and efficiency of the boreholes.
