Butchery injuries were inflicted on Lagos State Environmental and Special Offenses Unit members in the Jakande/Iyana-Ejigbo neighborhood of Lagos, Nigeria. The butcher’s identity has not been revealed (Task Force). The enforcement of the ban on commercial motorcycles in certain areas of the state took place over the course of a week, and during that time, the operatives were able to seize and impound more than 300 motorcycles.

During the course of the exercise, it was discovered that the butcher attempted to attack a member of the staff with a knife that he had reached for earlier. The chairman claimed that the operatives were provoked by the butcher who was armed with a knife and who injured one of the operatives. Jejeloye explained that the incident was one of the many risks that they face on a regular basis in their line of work.
He stated that the agency had also conducted a number of raids and operations in locations such as Oko-Oba, Local Airport Road, and the Abeokuta Expressway. It had been reported that some riders were operating despite the ban in those locations. The chairman provided a breakdown of the operation, saying that 29 suspects were arrested and 45 bikes were impounded along the Abeokuta Expressway. In addition, 113 bikes were impounded at Oko-Oba. During the course of the investigation, which lasted for a week, 15 motorcycles were taken into custody on Local Airport Road in Ikeja, and 82 were held up on the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway.
