Landslide kills 6 gold miners in Indonesia’s Central Kalimantan
Six people have been found dead in a landslide at a gold mining site in Kotawaringin Timur district, Central Kalimantan province.
The head of the local civil protection agency, Rihel Magat had said on Friday.
Teams from different institutions would soon evacuate the dead, Magat was quoted by Antara news agency as saying.

The accident occurred at about 12:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, when 11 people were mining at the scene, he said.
He added that the landslide was likely triggered by heavy downpour.
According to him, of the 11 miners, five people have survived the accident.
“The dead bodies are now still at the scene. Rescuers including policemen are now on the way to the location. Families of the victims have also been informed about the mishap,” he said.
