Nasarawa govt partners with Lottery Club of Lafia Central on sanitation

Nasarawa State Commissioner of Environment and Natural Resource, Mr Musa Ibrahim, has revealed that the state government is partnering Lottery Club of Lafia Central, a non-governmental Organisation (NGO) to ensure sustainable cleanliness and orderliness in the state.
The Commissioner who disclosed this in Lafia after inspecting the end of March sanitation exercise said the state was in partnership with the group through their community services initiative for better cleanliness because of the determination by Governor Abdullahi Sule led administration to ensure a stable clean state, daily times reports
He said that the ministry is ready to collaborates with all groups who are willing to contribute in ensuring that the state is one of the cleanest states in the country.
While speaking on cleanliness, Musa Ibrahim urged the residents to always keep their environment clean to guard against outbreaks of diseases.
On his part, Barr. Raymond Osafuomwan, President of Lottery Club of Lafia Central, lauded the state government for their policy on sanitation.
Meanwhile a mobile court, handling environmental-related cases has prosecuted 37 persons who violated the environmental sanitation excecise last Saturday in Lafia, the state capital of nasarawa state.
