23 ships berth at Lagos port, discharges food items, petroleum products

The bulk of wheat, gypsum, general cargo, frozen fish, container, base oil, bulk clinker and petrol, have been discharged by 23 ships at the Lagos ports.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA)made this known on Tuesday in its publication, ‘Shipping Position’, a copy of which was obtained by NAN.

It listed other items being discharged as ethanol, bulk sugar and automobile gasoline.

Sixteen other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected from March 16 to April 4.

According to the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA), the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex.

It said that the ships contain frozen fish, general cargo, base oil, bulk wheat, bulk gypsum, vehicle, automobile gasoline and container.

Meanwhile, another nine ships that had arrived at the ports were waiting to berth with the container, petrol, base oil, bulk malt and automobile gasoline.
