2021 Hajj: Pilgrims must take 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccine – FCTA

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced that enough COVID-19 vaccines are available for all intending pilgrims from the territory, saying they all must take their second dose of COVID-19 vaccination.
A statement from the board’s spokesperson, Muhammad Lawal said the Director of the Board, Mallam Muhammad Nasiru DanMallam gave assurances on the FCT Administration’s arrangements to ensure that intending pilgrims fulfil all requirements for this year’s hajj exercise.
According to Blueprint, the Director said the exercise would be carried out at the headquarters of the Board with Intending pilgrims who register at the Headquarters on Monday 31/05/2021 and Tuesday 1/06/2021 from 9 a.m.
He also said that Intending pilgrims from Abuja Municipal Area Council are expected to take their first dose of the vaccine on Wednesday 2/06/2021 while those from Bwari Area Council would take theirs on Thursday 3/06/2021.
Similarly, intending pilgrims from Gwagwalada Area Council are to be vaccinated on Friday 4/06/2021, to be followed by those from Kuje Area Council that will be vaccinated on Monday 7/06/2021.
According to DanMallam, intending pilgrims from Kwali Area Council are to be vaccinated on Tuesday 8/06/2021 and those from Abaji Area council are expected to take their second dose of the vaccine on Wednesday 9/06/2021.
