The Kano Zoological and Wildlife Agency has acquired a male and female Eland to its Kano zoo.

Hadiya Tullah-Umar, Public Relations Officer of the agency, made this known on Sunday in Kano.

The PRO said that the Managing Director of the agency, Alhaji Sa’idu Gwadabe represented by a Director in the agency, Malam Muhammad Danjuma received the Elands at the Kano zoo.

Tullah-Umar noted that the agency had previously procured a lioness, adding that by April, a Zebra would be delivered to the zoo.

She said that state government has demonstrated zeal to revive tourism by restocking the zoo which is the largest in the country in terms of education, research and conservation.

“Presently the procurement and restocking process is still ongoing,” the PRO added.

She urged residents of the state to patronise the zoo and enjoy nature through wild life.
