100 farmland destroys as fire engulfed Namu Central Yam Market in Plateau

Over millions of yam farmland were destroyed by inferno in a popular Namu Central market in southern Plateau, Jos.

According to an eye witnesses Alhaji Kabiri Buba spoke with daily times on the incident stated that food items and other valuables worth millions of naira were reportedly also destroyed by the various fire which raised down the popular Namu Central Yam Market in Quaanpan Local Government Area.

“farmers and traders are presently counting their losses.

“Over 100 farmers were affected”, he said.
However, Senator representing Plateau South, Hon. Nora
Dadu’ut has sympathised with the traditional ruler of the affected area, the “Long Jan of Namu”, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Safiyanu Allahnana and the entire community especially victims of the fire incident that destroyed the popular Namu Central Yam Market in Qua’an Pan LGA.

“I commiserate with the entire people of Namu over this sad incident: since I heard of it, I have not been my usual self. I pray to God to revive the spirit of those affected by this incident”, the Senator said in a statement.
