Prof Usman to deliver UNILAG inaugural lecture on carbon, sustainability

Professor Mohammed Awwalu Usman of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos, is set to deliver the 19th Inaugural Lecture of the 2024/2025 academic session on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

The lecture, titled “Is Carbon Truly as Guilty as Charged? The Perspective of a Process Systems Engineer on Sustainability”, will hold at the Nurudeen Alao Auditorium, Distance Learning Institute (DLI), Akoka Campus.

Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, will preside over the cherished academic event which will be graced by members of the university community, and the public.

Guests were advised to be seated by 3:45 p.m. for the commencement of the lecture at 4.00 pm.
