The Nigeria National Petroleum Company, NNPC Academy, has been awarded the International Standard Organisation (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification from the global certification body, DQS.

A statement by NNPC on its X social media platform on Wednesday, said Executive Vice President, Business Services, Sophia Mbakwe, received the certification, which marked a major milestone for the NNPC’s training arm, from the Academy’s Director, Folashade Adekeye, in her office at the NNPC Towers, in Abuja.

According to the company, the certification reaffirms its commitment to excellence, quality service delivery, and continuous improvement.

“By this milestone, the NNPC Academy has established, implemented, and maintained a management system that meets global quality benchmarks across its processes and service delivery. It follows a rigorous process covering documentation, internal audits, management reviews, and corrective actions,” the statement read.

It stated that as part of the exercise, members of the NNPC Academy’s ISO 9001:2015 QMS Project Team, led by Project Manager, Tongkhir Dewan, received Lead Auditor Certificates after completing accredited Lead Auditor Training.

“The certification strengthens NNPC Academy’s position as a centre for learning, capacity development, and human capital management, reinforcing its role in building the skilled workforce that supports NNPC Limited’s commercial growth and Nigeria’s energy goals,” the statement added.
