The Nigeria Midstream Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority,.NMDPRA, has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible energy regulation.
The NMDPRA made the commitment in an event to mark the 2026 World Environment Day, which was celebrated under the theme; “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”
Speaking at the event, the Executive Director, Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC), Dr. Mustapha Lamorde, highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship and the collective responsibility of individuals and organizations in protecting the environment.
A starement by the Authority on its X social media handle on Saturday, said Lamorde emphasized the need for sustainable practices that support economic growth while preserving natural resources for future generations.
The celebration featured awareness activities aimed at promoting environmental consciousness among staff and reinforcing the Authority’s commitment to health, safety, environmental protection, and community development in line with global best practices.
