The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Ltd. has reiterated its commitment to advancing and accelerating clean water stewardship within its operations.
In a statement released in Lagos on Wednesday to commemorate the 2024 World Water Day, Mr. Temitope Ogunrinde, National Environment Manager at NBC, underscored the company’s alignment with the theme “Water for Peace” and its mission to achieve sustainable development in host communities by 2025.
Ogunrinde highlighted NBC’s proactive stance on water conservation, citing initiatives such as effluent treatment plants and water efficiency measures implemented across all facilities.
These measures include stringent monitoring of water usage and prompt repairs of leaks, showcasing NBC’s steadfast dedication to environmentally sustainable practices.
“At NBC, we acknowledge the indispensable role of water in our lives and prioritize its utilization in environmentally sustainable manners,” stated Ogunrinde.

Mrs. Caroline Aladekomo, Deputy Director of Sanitation and Hygiene at Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, lauded NBC’s proactive steps in addressing water sustainability challenges.
She emphasized the significance of partnerships between private entities and government agencies in driving meaningful progress toward water stewardship objectives.
