BUA cement honours distributors with cash, trucks, SUVs

By Abdullahi Lukman

BUA Cement Plc has rewarded its top distributors across the country at its 2025 Distributors’ Awards held at Eko Hotels and Suites.

A total of 30 distributors were recognised for their performance, receiving cash prizes, compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks, and Sports Utility Vehicles.

The top two distributors each got two CNG trucks and cash rewards, while other leading distributors received one truck alongside monetary prizes.

Ten distributors were also presented with 2025 Toyota RAV4 vehicles and cash, while regional champions received 900 bags of cement each.

Managing Director Yusuf Binji commended the distributors for their resilience and contributions, stating that the company is focused on strengthening partnerships and improving its supply chain to support their businesses.

Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu said the awards highlight the company’s appreciation for the distributors’ loyalty and role in economic development, noting that their impact extends beyond cement sales.

He added that ongoing expansion projects, including a new production line in Sokoto and a 3 million tonnes per annum plant in Ososo, will boost capacity to meet increasing demand. Rabiu also announced a N30 per bag bonus for dealers in 2025, with N4.5 billion set aside for the programme.

The ceremony was attended by industry stakeholders, including Aliko Dangote, underscoring the significance of the event.
