President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr. Pokop W. Bupwatda as the new Chief Medical Director, University of Jos Teaching Hospital ( JUTH).
The appointment was made known in a letter signed by the Honourable Minister of Health , Dr. Osagie Ehanire, issued on 19th October , 2022 at the Ministry’s Headquarters, Abuja.
With the effective date, from 30th August, 2022 for an initial tenure of four years .
Speaking on, Dr. Ehanire charged CMD to strive toward adding value to the facility in order to improve the economy and also justify the confidence reposed in him by the President.
” The Health Sector is a key sector of the economy ; you should strive to improve the health facilities in your domain.
“Take more responsibility to improve the economy , and the condition of the teaching hospital , ” the Minister said .
In response , the new CMD , Dr. Bupwatda expressed his appreciation to the President for finding him worthy and also assured that he will not disappoint .
” I pledge not to disappoint the Honourable Minister ; I will work with all stakeholders to move the place forward . ” Bupwatda said .
Present to witness the presentation of the appointment letter were : the Acting Director , Hospital Services , Dr Bola Alonge , Director Teaching Hospitals , Dr. Andrew Noah , Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister Dr. Dobra Emuren and other well – wishers.
