Agbeyewa Farms Limited has said it will advance its vision of building a globally competitive cassava ecosystem through its third annual Ekiti Traditional Rulers’ Retreat.

In a statement, the company said the retreat would hold on April 15, 2026, at the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort and Conference Centre in Ekiti State, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between traditional institutions and modern agribusiness.

The firm described the retreat as a platform for aligning cultural heritage with enterprise, noting that it had become a key avenue for engaging traditional rulers and fostering partnerships to promote community development, food security, and inclusive economic growth.

Agbeyewa said it was driving transformation across Nigeria’s cassava value chain, covering cultivation, aggregation, processing, and agro-trading, while supporting rural livelihoods.

The company added that its role as the agricultural supply engine for the Matna Cassava Industrial Platform reflects its commitment to accelerating cassava industrialisation in the country.

According to the firm, the platform is built on three pillars: ensuring steady supply through large-scale cultivation and community partnerships, expanding processing capacity, and growing market access through global partnerships.

The retreat is expected to bring together traditional rulers, government officials, and key stakeholders in the agricultural sector.

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, is expected to declare the event open, while the Adeyeye Ogunwusi will serve as Royal Father of the Day.

The Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers, Oba Adejimi Adu, is also expected to lead other monarchs at the event.

In addition, the Vice-Chancellor of Venite University, Prof. Charity Aremu, will deliver a keynote address on “Driving Economic Transformation Through Sustainable Agricultural Development.

Agbeyewa said the programme would feature a strategic session on Cavista Holdings’ food and agriculture industrialisation platform, which integrates agricultural supply, industrial processing, and global market access to drive cassava sector growth in Nigeria.
